In 1991, Chabrières graduated from the Sorbonne, Paris, as Master in Child Psychology and Science of Education. From 1998-2002, she coordinated early childhood programs for UNICEF in post conflict countries in Asia and Africa before jumping - a leap of faith- full time in sculpting.
In 2004, Chabrières created Atelier Constance Chabrières, in Paris, France.
In 2010, she moved to Washington DC, USA.
She draws her inspiration from human emotions and movement.
Chabrières sculpts the living.
She captures the rhythm of street life, the way everything and everyone dances to its own beat.
Chabrières explores through sculpture, photography, collages, painting, drawing and video. Nourished by in-depth research and largely influenced by psychology, she has created a story-collage of instants- we can all recognize ourselves in.
